A mid-engine V8 sports vehicle, the Ferrari 488 is intended to compete with the McLaren 720S and Porsche 911 Turbo S. The GTB coupe and drop-top Spider models are also available. The 488 replaces the 458. However, Ferrari asserts that the 488 is 85% newer than its predecessor and provides a supercar performance, so the changes are not the only ones. The most noticeable modification is the addition of a new twin turbocharged V8 engine, which outperforms the outdated naturally-aspirated one in terms of power and efficiency.
The new engine produces incredible performance, with the GTB and Spider reaching 60 mph in just 3.0 seconds thanks to its 660 horsepower and 760 Nm. Additionally, both models have a top speed of over 200 mph.
Ferrari’s slogan is: “We are the Competition”.
